Carl Smith

Carl Smith is Franklyn Bliss Snyder Professor of English and American Studies and Professor of History at Northwestern University. He is author of The Plan of Chicago: Daniel Burnham and the Remaking of the American City (University of Chicago Press, 2006). Smith is also an adviser to the NEH-supported Virtual Burnham Initiative, a teaching and discussion website being created at Lake Forest College.
