"The Trail of Tears: Context and Perspectives" will invite participants to critically examine the process of the Cherokee Removal and to explore the multiple impacts it had on the people and the lands they inhabited. The workshop will focus on the experience of place and will encourage the use of tools like inquiry-based learning, using the unique resources of the Funk Heritage Center other certified sites on the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail.
