"The Humanities Perspectives on AI" Institute at the University of Utah offers 30 higher education faculty an immersive, interdisciplinary examination of AI. Spanning three weeks in July 2025, the program combines discussions, hands-on activities, and field trips to explore AI’s technological foundations and societal impacts. Participants from various humanities disciplines will address ethical, cultural, and historical dimensions of AI, gaining tools to critically engage with its influence. Outcomes include public-facing projects, lesson plans, and research models, empowering faculty to research, publish, and teach about responsible AI.
