Maryjean Wall, PhD, journalist, and college history instructor, is author of How Kentucky Became Southern: a Tale of Outlaws, Horse Thieves, Gamblers, and Breeders. Wall presents a talk on the life of Jimmy Winkfield for the Kentucky Humanities Council.
