Leo Damrosch

Leo Damrosch is the Ernest Bernbaum Professor of Literature at Harvard University and the author of Jean-Jacques Rousseau: Restless Genius (Houghton Mifflin Company, 2005), a finalist for the National Book Award in nonfiction, and Tocqueville’s Discovery of America (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2010). He has led five NEH-funded Seminars for Colleges Teachers. Three covered Rousseau and Blake; two were on the Enlightenment Invention of the Modern Self.
