The Vote

The Vote tells the story of the hard-fought campaign waged by American women for the right to vote. This transformative cultural and political movement resulted in the largest expansion of voting rights in U.S. history and the battle for votes upended the previously accepted ideas about the proper role of women in American society. The Vote explores how this movement grappled with choosing the most effective methods for generating social change and challenged the definitions of citizenship and democracy.
