Tomaquag Museum's goal is to evaluate the needs of our collection that focuses on southern New England tribes and highlights the Narragansett Tribe. The museum will hire a consultant to undertake a preservation assessment and offer training for staff to improve care for a collection of 100,000 archival items (personal journals, scrapbooks, newspapers, maps, tribal government documents, photographs, and slides), 500 library books, and 20,000 cultural objects that document indigenous peoples of southern New England.
