Women's History Month: Celebrating women's suffrage & history makers at Buffalo History Museum
The Buffalo History Museum will recognize Women’s History Month with collaborative programming and more throughout the month of March at One Museum Court. Women’s suffrage will be a particular highlight of the museum’s celebration with the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment.
“We are deeply honored to collaborate with the Uncrowned Queens Institute, the Chromatic Club of Buffalo, and a number of women historians in recognition of Women’s History Month,” said Melissa Brown, executive director of the museum. “Commemorating the historic accomplishments of individual women, groups, and organizations fosters appreciation for their lasting legacy and the adversities faced along each of their journeys.”
This extended issue was funded in part by Humanities New York with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
