New exhibit explores diverse traditions can come together
There's a new exhibit at the Sioux City Public Museum showcasing how diverse traditions can come together in one culture.
The traveling exhibit is called "Bandits and Heros, Poets and Saints" and explores how ancient African cultures blended with indigenous and colonial traditions in Brazil. It is a great experience for Siouxlanders. "That we were able to get from the Mid-American Art Alliance in Kansas City Missouri. This is a special branch of their exhibition that is funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. "Bandits and Heros" focus on the popular art of northeastern Brazil," said the museum Curator of History Matt Anderson.
