Music professor awarded $45,000 fellowship to study connection between music and the climate

Recently awarded with the AAS-National Endowment for the Humanities Long-Term Fellowship by the American Antiquarian Society to continue research he began in 2020 on the interconnectedness between music and climate change, Chung will soon continue his research in Massachusetts.
“You hope to get these kinds of opportunities, but maybe you don’t expect to get them,” Chung said. “I was mostly just really relieved to just have nine months of time where my main responsibility is to work on writing the thing that I’m trying to write. [...] There was a lot of celebration that day.”
