Professor K.J. Rawson (English & WGSS) has continued working on the Spanish-language version of “Homosaurus,” an internationally-linked vocabulary set of LGBTQ terms.

Last year, the National Endowment for the Humanities granted nearly $350,000 to translate the English Homosaurus, which includes more than 2,500 terms, into Spanish. Rawson is working with three Northeastern students, including Sofia Zamora Morales, to do that work. The USCLA Chicano Studies Research Center, the Arizona Queer Archives, and Marika Cifor, a professor at the University of Washington’s Information School, are also helping with the project.
