A Cleveland museum, a summer education program, and a book proposal receive $1.3 million from National Endowment for the Humanities

The National Endowment for the Humanities has awarded $37.5 million in grants for 240 humanities projects across the country. Three of these grants – almost $1.3 million – will support projects in Northeast Ohio.
Among the funds allocated to preserve and expand access to important historical and cultural collections is a $350,000 grant to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. The money will help replace the museum’s HVAC system. That is needed to provide a stable and sustainable environment for cultural anthropology, fine arts, and rare books collections.
