NEH at the 2014 American Political Science Association Annual Meeting

Several NEH staff members from across the Endowment’s offices and divisions will be attending the American Political Science Association annual meeting in Washington, DC, from August 27th through August 31st.

Endowment staff will be offering a pre-conference short course on Wednesday, August 27th, where participants can learn about the NEH grant programs, speak with NEH program officers, and observe a mock panel to demonstrate an important stage of the grant application review process.

The short course will provide an overview of grant opportunities at the National Endowment for the Humanities and general strategies for preparing grant and fellowship applications with advice tailored to political scientists writing for a humanities audience. NEH staff will share their insights about developing a strong application to a competitive grant program. NEH staff from the Division of Research, the Division of Education, and the Office of Digital Humanities will be available after the workshop for one-on-one meetings to discuss project ideas or answer specific questions about NEH programs. Participants also will have the opportunity to submit a draft application of a grant proposal in advance for review.

12:15 - 1:00 p.m. V. Questions and Comments 

2:00 - 5 p.m. VI. Individual meetings with NEH staff

Preregistration is required. Attendence is limited to 50 participants.
