Documents

Grants.Gov System-to-System Interface -- NEH has developed a sophisticated (yet very low-cost) system-to-system interface between our back-end grants server and Grants.Gov. This interface implements web services using Microsoft .NET technology.  If your agency would like to take advantage of our work or just learn how we did it, please download our white paper [PDF] or our sample code [ZIP archive].

Enterprise Architecture [MS Word]--An enterprise architecture (EA) establishes the Agency-wide roadmap to achieve an Agency's mission through optimal performance of its core business processes within an efficient information technology (IT) environment. Simply stated, enterprise architectures are "blueprints" for systematically and completely defining an organizations current (baseline) or desired (target) environment.

IT Strategic Plan [MS Word] --The IT Strategic Plan supports the agency-wide strategic plan.  It describes how IT activities help accomplish agency missions and ensures that IT decisions are integrated with planning, procurement, budget, and program decisions.

IT Capital Plan [MS Word] -- The IT Capital Plan is operational in nature and supports the goals and missions identified in the IRM Strategic Plan and the Enterprise Architecture.

IT Security Policies, Procedures, and Rules of Behavior [MS Word] -- This document describes the agency's general computer security polices.  This includes security roles, protection of data, operational controls, and user rules of behavior.

GCN Enterprise Architecture Presentation [Powerpoint] -- This is the Powerpoint presentation that Brett used at the GCN Enterprise Architecture Conference on 11/9/2004.
